After finishing high school at a short 5'6" (more than 6" shorter than the average male) I began to study different growth methods for adults. Throughout my school years I had been plagued by names like shorty, squat, and stump, and my height (or lack of it) was one area that really bothered me. After studying various methods to gain height - and there is lots of them - I made my way to a cool 5' 10.

The simple fact is that there are real methods that will help you to gain 2" to 6" in height, and they do work. In recent years there are also hundreds of guides emerging that claim to teach these methods. The problem is that with so many different methods out there, and guides that claim to teach them, choosing a "Grow Taller" guide that actually works can be difficult.

With that, let's first talk about what a grow taller guide is and is not.

First, a grow taller guide is NOT the only thing you will need to gain some height. You will also need to follow what the guide teaches, work through the exercises, and continue to work at it for a period of 10 weeks or so (you gain more over time).

Second, NOT everyone will need a grow taller guide. If you're already 6'2, then you probably don't need to worry about ideas like spine compression, HGH, or other areas that cause growth problems.

Third, a grow taller guide IS, the best way to gain 2" to 6" inches in height using practical, natural, and safe methods. While not everyone will be able to gain a full five inches, some have reported gains of 4 inches in as little as 2 weeks. Others have reported full 6" gains over a 3 to 4 month period of time!

Fourth, if you don't take the time to choose the right guide then you may be putting yourself in danger. Some of the guides that claim to teach safe methods to gain height aren't safe at all. Imagine spending a week or two in the hospital because you wanted to gain an inch!

To help, along with some of my vertically challenged friends, we worked to evaluate the top grow taller guides that are available today. The tests weren't really difficult, we simply bought the top guides and then had those who need the height use them over a 3 month period of time. Throughout that period we measured height gains, and at the end of the three months we evaluated the results based on:

• Height Gain - Obviously our main criteria for evaluating "grow taller" guides was the actual height gains that came from implementing the methods taught.
• Easy of Learning - Some guides make things easier to learn than other. Guides that laid out what we needed to do clearly were rated much higher than those that were poorly written.
• Techniques Taught - With so many different ideas to help gain a few inches, we also rated each guide for the techniques that it taught. The guides that taught different techniques (that actually worked) were rated higher than those that focused on just one or two.
• Difficulty of Exercise - Many of the guides evaluated also taught exercises to help with spine compression, posture, etc. With this, higher ratings were given to guides that taught the exercises that anyone could do.
• Safety - Although most of the guides we evaluated were safe, much lower ratings were given to guides that recommended unsafe (and unproven) techniques such as human growth hormone injections.
• Value - There was a huge range in prices with the guides we evaluated. From that, we also rated each package on the value it provided.
• Overall Rating - From all of the other elements, we gave each guide an overall rating.
  

Below you will find our results for the top five guides that can help you grow taller. The clear winner from our evaluations was Grow Taller 4 Idiots, but the other guides in our top five also did fairly well.
